Abstracts for oral and poster presentations panels, workshops and special tracks addressing urban health issues, are invited on the following topics:
- Urban governance and equity-oriented policies
- Understanding and addressing demographic, epidemiologic and societal change in cities
- Healthy urban planning, measurement and metrics, data and research
- Environmental health and urban sustainability
- Health care in cities - access, services and quality
Special call for abstracts: Healthy Inclusive Place-Making: Global Ideas for US Solutions (Deadline 15 April 2017).
Authors should submit an abstract in English (no longer than 400 words), carefully checked for correct grammar and spelling, on one of the conference topics.
All abstracts must be submitted through the online submission platform and should follow the instructions and template provided.
Pre-formed panels (group presentations) are explorations of a topic with a pre-determined list of speakers and chair or discussant(s). They will be scheduled alongside abstract sessions in 1.5 hour blocks. The proposed program should run no longer than 1 hour to allow at least 30 minutes of discussion.
Proposals should indicate the topic, speakers and chair or discussant, as well as provide an abstract of up to 300 words describing the overall subject(s) and topics to be discussed by each speaker and the relevance to one or more conference themes.

Pre-Conference Workshops are full or half-day working sessions that bring together groups of conference registrants only (10-60 people) with the aim of advancing work on a specific project or providing a training experience to conference attendees.
Special tracks Organisations are invited to sponsor a Track on a specific topic or theme that complements the ICUH themes.
Successfully submitted abstracts will be acknowledged with an electronic receipt including an abstract reference number, which should be quoted in all correspondence. Allow at least 2 hours for your receipt to be returned to you.
Once the abstracts is accepted, at least one of the authors must register for and present at the conference.
A limited number of scholarships will be available for people from low and middle income countries whose abstracts have been accepted. Further information will be available in May 2017, when authors will be notified if their abstracts have been accepted.
If you do not receive acknowledgement for your abstract submission or you wish to make any essential revisions to an abstract already submitted, please DO NOT RESUBMIT your abstract, as this may lead to duplication.
